RICKY P’s PO BOY SANDWICHES – OUR SPECIALTY

The Po-Boy is a classic New Orleans sandwich that earned it’s name back in the Great Depression when chefs would put leftover meats on loaves of French Bread. They would offer them to the “poor boys” who couldn’t afford a plate of food. The popularity of this kind of sandwich grew within the working class New Orleanians and soon became a staple at the many family owned restaurants the city is famous for.
Our po boy sandwiches are served on Leidenheimer French bread and dressed with mayo, lettuce, tomato and pickle, unless otherwise noted. Regular size is 5”, large size is 10”. Comes with your choice of our creole slaw, cajun potato salad or French fries with Tony Chachere creole seasoning.
